Training program on Energy Simulation & Building Performance Analysis at NUCE, 2016

With the aim of promoting the application of energy simulation and building performance analysis on building project designs, construction and operation in Viet Nam, Department of Architecture&Planning and Department of Environmental Architecture coordinate with Vietnam Green Building Council – VGBC and The Viet Land Investment Consulting and Construction Joint-Stock Company – VILANDCO JSC (representative of Designbuilder software in Vietnam) organize the training program on “Energy simulation and building performance analysis using Designbuilder software” for lecturers and students at National University of Civil Engineering on 17-18/12/2016.

There were more than 30 professors and students took part in our training program at National University of Civil Engineering

In the 1^st day of the training program, learners will be mainly introduced the general knowledge about energy simulation and building performance analysis, and their application to actual projects. Along with studying these theory knowledge, learners will practice the Designbuilder software with lecturers through exercises for 10 training contents.

Lecture instructed learners to practice simulate energy and calculate building performance on Deignbuilder software.

There were so many learners joined this training program, but lecturers still tried to instruct and support one by one.

At the end of 2^nd day of the training program, learners were divided into eight groups to do an exercise on simulating energy and analyzing building performance using Designbuilder software as the final test to appraise learners’ capacity and issue certificates.

Groups of learners do exercise under the guidance of course lectures.

Each group would have a university lecturer or a person who had experience on using Designbuilder software to instruct and support.

At the end of the training program, representative of Vilandco –Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien (on the left) and representative of VGBC – Mr Vu Hong Phong (on the right) issued certificates to learners.
