After releasing new versions of all the other LOTUS systems during 2017, VGBC is now working on the update of LOTUS NR and LOTUS MFR with the plan to release LOTUS NR V2.1 and LOTUS MFR V1 in the first half of 2018.

In this update, the main aim is to keep the same structure (same list of credits, same credit points, same weight of categories, same certification process) while improving the content of credits by:

  • fixing existing mistakes (e.g. mistake in the formula to calculate the required number of bus seats to be fixed)
  • providing clearer explanations (e.g. clearer descriptions to be given for the different types of green roofs)
  • enlarging the scope (e.g. high-volume low-speed fans to be considered in the H-6 Thermal Comfort credit),
  • refining requirements (e.g. thresholds in credit Eco-4 Green Roof to be decreased to 20% and 40% of green roof area for 1 and 2 points)
  • making updates following new standards and codes (e.g. for credit CY-3 Access for People with Disabilities, compliance with QCVN 10:2014/BXD to be required instead of QCXDVN 01:2002)

Both LOTUS NR V2.0 and LOTUS MFR Pilot have been released in 2015 and a large number of suggested changes have been gathered since then.

At all times, VGBC try to seek valuable feedback from partners and LOTUS practitioners. If you have any comments or suggestions on how to improve LOTUS NR 2.0 and LOTUS MFR Pilot (2015). please contact VGBC at [email protected]. All changes will be made publicly available with credits where they belong.
