MAIN DIFFERENCES AMONG THE SYSTEMS
LEED: Holistic green building certification system, developed in the US and particularly suitable for projects seeking international recognition. LEED requirements are more adapted to developed green building markets rather than developing markets.
LOTUS: Holistic green building certification system developed in Vietnam. LOTUS requirements are tailored to adapt to Vietnamese construction practices, regulations and climatic conditions, which makes LOTUS easier to implement.
EDGE: A certification system focusing only on Energy, Water and Embodied Energy of Materials, particularly suitable for projects that want to minimize their use of resources.
Green Mark: Green building certification system, developed in the Singapore. Green Mark requirements are more adapted to developed green building markets rather than developing markets.
