On March 28, Douglas Snyder, VGBC Executive Director, joined a fascinating site visit and walkthrough tour at AkzoNobel’s (a VGBC Gold member) Dulux paint factory located in Binh Duong. The event began with several sharings from key speakers on sustainability roadmaps and strategy for the industrial sector. The event was also joined by the Chairman of SACA and Hoa Binh Construction Group – Mr. Le Viet Hai. Mr. Snyder presented an overview on the trend of greening Vietnam’s factories and the critical role that the VGBC plays in this endeavor. As the Binh Duong plant plans to pursue LOTUS BIO (Buildings in Operation) certification, this was also a celebration of VGBC and AkzoNobel’s collaboration going forward.
