Douglas Snyder is Executive Director of the Vietnam Green Building Council. With over 25 years’ sustainable development experience, Douglas has worked on public, institutional, industrial, educational, hospitality, health, commercial, and residential development projects in the US and SE Asia. Douglas was Deputy Director of Sustainable Design for ARDOR Architects (2016-2021), green building expert (2014) in USAID’s Vietnam Clean Energy Project, and founder of his own US green building firm (2004-2016). Other past project partners include the World Bank, UNDP, DFAT, and Vietnam government ministries. Douglas has his M.S., Organizational Management, SIT Graduate Institute and B.S., Environmental Studies, State University of New York.

Master of Science in “Mechanical and Thermal Systems Design” at the University of Paris Sud Est – France, a year later, Mrs. Thuy graduated as an engineer from the Construction High Studies Center (CHEC) – France. After working at the headquarters in Dijon (France), Mrs. Thuy returned to Vietnam and took charge of managing the energy optimization segment of the Elithis Vietnam branch, and then became the Regional Director of Elithis Asia, Elithis Group. In addition to her strong technical expertise, especially in the field of calculating and optimizing electrical consumption systems, energy optimization, and green building consulting, Mrs. Thuy also has extensive management experience with 12 years of project management experience and over 8 years of small business management. Currently, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy has joined VGBC as a Senior Technical Coordinator.

Arden Linh Nguyen, currently holding the position of Research Manager at VGBC, has cultivated a wealth of experience across five countries: the United States, Panama, Honduras, Cambodia, and Vietnam. Arden specializes in architecture with a focus on sustainable development, alongside expertise in urban and environmental planning. Arden has actively contributed to consulting and developing numerous sustainable projects both domestically and internationally. Arden earned a degree in Planning and Architecture from the University of Virginia, USA.

With an academic background in Economics and an MA in Marketing from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, Huong boasts over 13 years of professional experience. Her recent focus has been in the Vietnamese sustainability development, innovation and technology startup ecosystem. Her expertise encompasses legal compliance, business management, communications, and project management. Huong has amassed extensive knowledge, networks, and skills in business conceptualization, partner relationship management, and media and press relations within the Vietnamese business ecosystem. Her contributions have been pivotal to VGBC’s sustainability development and mission. As a valued member of VGBC, Huong remains committed to driving positive change and making significant impacts in her role.

Taking on the job of Marketing Manager at VGBC, Mr. Nguyen Dang Nghia has many years of experience in the field of Marketing/Communications. He has worked in many domestic and international NGOs and organizations. With a training background in the field of information technology, he has accumulated extensive knowledge, experience and skills in Digital Marketing, AI, flexible management at work as well as development. Developing marketing strategies in today’s modern development trend.

As a Technical Manager, Nguyen Nhan takes responsibility for managing assessment of LOTUS Green Building projects of VGBC. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering – Building & Energy Efficiency under the educational program of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and National Institute of Applied Sciences of Lyon. He also achieved a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology.

Tran Minh Ngoc is an expert in the field of green building and HVAC. He has over 14 years of experience consulting on sustainable design for many different types of projects and he is the author of 3 books on HVAC and green building. He graduated with a Master’s degree in Aerodynamics, Department of Mechanical Engineering at NTUST, Taiwan.
