Vietnam Green Building Council (VGBC) Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program aims to expand industry professionals’ knowledge of the LOTUS rating system and provide those working with and delivering Green projects with the required skills. The program was developed by Vietnam Green Building Council (VGBC) approved by the VGBC Board in May 2024 and commenced officially on 1 June 2024.

The information in this guide represents current policies for the VGBC CPD program and may be subject to change from time to time.

CPD points: refer to points awarded to VGBC courses, events, and activities related to sustainability training by the VGBC.

LOTUS AP: LOTUS Accredited Professional

The LOTUS AP certification expires every 2 years and needs to be renewed if you want to continue using it. The extension is conducted under the CPD (Continuous Professional Development) program, to encourage experts to constantly update new knowledge as well as experience and contribute to the development of the LOTUS Criteria System in particular and the green building movement in Vietnam in general.

In order to renew the certificate, LOTUS APs must complete a minimum total of 20 Points of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) within the 2 years prior to the CPD renewal application date.

LOTUS APs must submit evidence of completion of 20 Points of CPD within one (1) month after the expiration of the certificate by completing the register form or email to [email protected].

VGBC will issue a new Certificate of Accreditation within two (2) weeks of receiving all the correct documentation. The new certificate will be valid for two years from the date of issue.

There is no charge for the renewal of accreditation.

LOTUS AP is a professional who has profound knowledge of the LOTUS green building certification system. A LOTUS AP can provide consultancy advice when designing, constructing, or operating green buildings and applying for certification under the LOTUS system.

Requirements:

• Completion of LOTUS Foundations
• Pass the LOTUS AP in-person exam within one year of completing the LOTUS Foundations
• Maintain 20 CPD points
