The biennial WorldGBC Leadership Summit took place from the 24th to 27th of June in London this year. This high level event was attended by 50 of the 80 Green Building Councils (GBCs) along with other global partners helping support the sustainable transition of the built environment. There was a full schedule of seminars, meetings, planning sessions, and knowledge sharing on critical issues facing the sustainable buildings market from now until 2030. Mr. Douglas Snyder, Executive Director VGBC, attended and expressed that the regional meetings with the other 15 Asia Pacific Network GBCs were especially fruitful as we work towards coordinated action regionally on green finance, zero carbon buildings, circularity, and resilient design. Many global policy initiatives with high level partners (IEA, United Nations, etc.) were discussed and will follow in the upcoming months, so stay tuned for more exciting updates.
