With the combination of theory and practice, the Training Day had given students essential knowledge so that they could enter green building market and meet the employers’ demand after graduation.

The morning session of the Training Day focused on the design process and benefits of green building, with the knowledge sharing of experts, architects and engineers about featured LOTUS-certified projects. Besides, speakers also introduced and recommended some sustainable materials in green building practices.

The Training Day became even more exciting in the afternoon as students were divided into 8 groups to practise designing a project. After 3 hours of discussion and teamwork, groups came up with a lot of creative ideas in design and sustainable solutions to save energy, water and materials.

Teachers and Students of Faculty of Environmental Engineering

“This program is a great opportunity for scholars, lecturers and students to share their knowledge and experience in construction industry and particularly in green building practice. Personally, I am so happy because of the successful cooperation of the 4 faculties. For now, Faculty of Architecture and Planning is the first one to include Green Building in its curricula. I hope that it will promote the education and training of green building in Vietnam. To the students, especially those who study construction and architecture, I hope that you can develop your awareness for the sake of our country’s sustainable development. Your green ideas will help to make a green economy of a sustainable Vietnam”, said Dr. Nguyen Cao Lanh, NUCE.
