SYNOPSIS
As a leading NGO promoting sustainable construction practices in Vietnam, the Vietnam Green Building Council (VGBC) do not advocate for all-glass buildings. However, by the choice of investors and their consultants, there are still many high buildings going up wrapped in glass. This choice often leaves the future owners and occupants with excessively high energy bills, thermal discomfort and poor indoor air quality. Facing this reality, we want to take a pragmatic look at the measures and case studies that developers and project teams should take note if they want to reduce costs and protect property value over the long run.
