The WorldGBC unveiled its brand new website:
www.worldgbc.org
This WorldGBC website builds on the new strategy signed off by the Board and Green Building Councils in 2015: that WorldGBC must not only support directly the development of its GBCs, but also show the world how green building, our member Green Building Councils and the WorldGBC are the most effective means to achieve major global goals – such as combatting climate change and improving quality of life.
The site has been designed – with input from a range of stakeholders including Green Building Councils, our Board and Corporate Advisory Board – to communicate more clearly the mission of the WorldGBC, offer greater profile for green building, showcase the incredible local and global impact of our Green Building Councils, and highlight the leadership demonstrated by the global green building movement.
What’s new?
There are a range of new sections on the website:
- “About Green Building” section – designed to give website visitors an introduction to the world of green building, and showcase global thought leadership on green building
- “News & media” section – compiling all of our news, blogs and press releases, as well as thought leadership reports and publications on green buildings
- Green Building Council profile pages – with the ability to feature news and events for Established Members
- “Our Work” section – communicating more effectively the WorldGBC projects and campaigns uniting our Green Building Councils.
These are just a few of the new features, and we’d encourage you to take a look around and familiarise yourself with the new website.
WGBC’ll also soon be launching a Members’ Area, featuring non-public resources and documents for Green Building Councils – more information to follow.
