In October 2016, the last APN meeting was held in Mumbai, focusing on two main updates including Impact, Influence & Leadership and Capacity Building. The attended GBCs highlighted their role to raise the profile, potential and outcomes in the Asia Pacific region and to align with global commitments. Also, GBCs called for more exchange programs and capacity building activities. Discussion on business case had been started and Better Places for People was seen to be of great value to advance the profile WorldGBC and national GBCs.
The next APN meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia will focus on providing a strategic view of how APN’s goals can align with WorldGBC’s global-level strategies as well as its commitment at COP21 and UN Sustainable Development Goals. The meeting also aims to advance leadership through projects and new initiatives.
