Marina Hill is a resort project located in Nha Trang city and developed by Nha Trang Green Hill Co.,Ltd. It is situated on a gentle sloping beach, and built with back leaning on hill slopes, overlooking the city and Nha Trang Bay.
Marina Hill project includes a total number of 68 villas divided in 3 different types:
- Melia villa (including 35 villas)
- Maia villa (including 26 villas)
- Merrill villas (including 7 villas)
All these villas (except one Merril Villa used that will be reserved for service) are registered for Green Building Certification under LOTUS Homes V1. The project is being advised by green consultant GreenViet Consultancy Company Limited and all the villas target LOTUS Gold Certification.
LOTUS is a set of green building rating systems developed by the Vietnam Green Building Council (VGBC). VGBC is a project of Green Cities Fund, a non-profit organization in California, USA. LOTUS Homes is used for single family dwellings, defined as individual residential houses under QCVN 03:2012/BXD and Circular 12/2012/TT-BXD.
Projects pursuing LOTUS certification earn points across 7 categories, comprising of 34 criteria that address sustainability issues, including:
- Efficient use of energy and water
- Use of environment-friendly materials
- Minimizing negative impact on surrounding ecology
- Creating healthy indoor living spaces for occupants, such as fresher air, more daylighting and better thermal comfort.
A project will be awarded points if it demonstrates that it’s achieved a certain criteria in LOTUS. A total of 100 points are available under LOTUS Homes. Based on the number of points achieved, a project then receives one of four LOTUS rating levels: Certified, Silver, Gold and Platinum.
A LOTUS-certified home usually features climate-adapted architectural design, efficient lighting and HVAC equipment, efficient water fixtures, healthy paints and materials among other things, but each project is unique in incorporating the green strategy.
LOTUS-certified buildings are resource efficient. They use less water and energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. As an added bonus, they save money. LOTUS homes are also built to be healthy, providing clean indoor air and incorporating environment-friendly building materials and systems to provide the best value for homeowners and occupants.
