VGBC MONTHLY EVENTS

In 2022, VGBC will plan to carry out a series of monthly events with different themes. We would like to introduce and invite you to participate in the event with the discussion topic of June.

Event Information

A monthly event organized by VGBC with the theme in June “Climate action” at 8:30 A.M – 12:00 P.M, June 17, 2022 at Experience center (on Mega Market An Phu campus), Thu Duc City.

The event promotes GHG emission reduction and waste elimination resulting from construction and building operation in Vietnam building and construction  sector. In cooperation with Frasers Property Vietnam and members of VGBC, the event will provide attendees with practical knowledge and new developments in the World related to the First Global Trend. Focus on the total decarbonisation of buildings and construction operations as they are responsible for 39% of energy-related CO2 emissions.

Through the discussion Climate Action contributes to promoting innovation for companies in the construction industry, for project developers to get more exposures to available green products and technologies which will be the key to new cooperation opportunities. The event provides an opportunity to exchange ideas, learn from experiences in solving the problem of climate change.

Especially at the event, there is the presence of VGBC Chairperson – Ms. Hang Phan who is an expert in the field of sustainable development and green building domestically and internationally, and 4 speakers as guests of the event:

  • Hang Phan – VGBC Chair.
  • Ling Foong – Frasers Property Vietnam.
  • Le Luong Vang – ISD Engineering Co., Ltd.
  • Vu Linh Quang – Ardor.

 

Organizational information

The Vietnam Green Building Council (VGBC) is a project of the Green City Foundation (GCF), an international non-profit organization based in California, USA. VGBC was established in 2007 in Vietnam with the aim of raising awareness and building capacity on green building development for Vietnam. VGBC was officially recognized by the Ministry of Construction of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in March 2009 and joined the establishment of the Asia-Pacific WGBC Network in September 2009. VGBC is an information bridge between design consultants looking to go green to designate projects and suppliers looking to inform designers about products and technologies new construction technology. To do that, VGBC is creating meetings and exchanges with architects, investors, engineers and contractors through monthly events.
