The event theme is proposed following the Health and Well-being framework of the World Green Building Council (“WorldGBC”), that is concerned with ensuring the health and well-being of the building occupants, minimizing the negative impacts of the buildings on human health and the community. This is also one of the Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations and at the same time the strategy of WorldGBC to promote sustainable buildings and construction works, support the interests of users, bring about a healthy living environment and health amenities. The conference convene experts in green building and sustainable development research to share knowledge and practical experiences, environmentally friendly technologies in the field of building materials, as well as principles on active design, easy access and connection to the natural ecosystem in a green space.

In addition to the increasing demands for a comprehensive health and well-being in the built environment, the protection and improvement of health through maintaining indoor air quality, water and building temperature comfort at appropriate levels suitable to limit hazards to human health, support and enhance social mental health with smart and resilient designs to reduce the possibility of disease transmission inside the building space. Prioritizing the comfort of the occupants of buildings requires designs that harmonize the natural and built environment so that these occupants can access biological benefits within the building and ensure occupants access to outdoors, encourage biodiversity on the premises and surroundings, and facilitate sports, recreation and community activities both indoors and outdoors, encourage a healthy lifestyle, close to nature, contribute to creating positive values for society and act for a common climate. Let’s work together to find the best, most practical solutions and make the link between the built environment and human health the most popular topic of all discussions.

Through the discussion of health and well-being it will provide an opportunity for audiences to create networking, exchange experiences and learn about common principles,  methods of production, efficient use of resources and explore the impacts of buildings on the environment, human health, thereby building a healthy living environment, ensuring the quality of life and the sustainable development goals of the society, striving to reduce emissions in the race to combat climate change and learning from great shares and visions around the world.
