The VGBC congratulates The Green One United Nations House (GOUNH) exceptional achievement of LOTUS Buildings in Operation (BIO) Platinum Certification in October 2022. As the timing was the same as UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres’ country visit in Vietnam, we were able to personally handover the certification to the Secretary General. GOUNH had first achieved LOTUS Non-residential Major Renovation (NR-P-MR) Platinum certification in 2017, and since LOTUS buildings must prove again their green performance after five years of operation, GOUNH took on the challenge to submit its operation for review. The result was the building and its fantastic building management team successfully achieved LOTUS BIO Platinum certification. The VGBC is excited to have such strong partner in UN Vietnam to promote sustainable buildings to help prevent global warming, to conserve precious natural resources, and to protect the health of building occupants.
