Joining VCCI since 1992, Mr. Nguyen Quang Vinh has had 28 years of management experience in international relations and business sustainable development. During which, he devoted his career path to VCCI’s International Relations Department for 13 years, being responsible for building and maintaining relationships with partners, and networks with individuals and organisations.
He participated in the establishment of the Office for Business Sustainable Development (SDforB) of VCCI in 2006, the Global Compact Vietnam Network (GCVN) in 2007 and the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD) in 2010.

Having graduate from UCLA Anderson School of Management with a MBA in Finance and Strategy, Mr. Tomaso Andreatta has had more than 10 years working for Chambers of commerce in Vietnam and contributing to the sustainable development in the country.
He has been an Executive Board member, Vice-Chairman of the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham) and Chairman of EuroCham’s Green Growth Sector Committee (EuroCham GGSC) since 2011. Mr. Andreatta is firmly convinced that Vietnam can choose a more sustainable path to growth, in which European firms can be of substantial support.

Ms. Melissa Merryweather lived and practiced as an Architect and Green Building Consultant in Vietnam for 20 years. In 2009, motivated by the lack of activity in the green building sector in Vietnam, Melissa launched her company Green Consult Asia to specialize in sustainable construction.
Melissa helped to develop the Vietnam Green Building Council from its earliest days, has been a key author and editor of the LOTUS certification system, and was the Chair of the Board of Directors of the VGBC as well as Vietnam Country Representative for its parent organization, the Green Cities Fund.

In addition, buildings use most of the natural materials harvested permanently from the earth. We are now realising how man-made activity impacts our planet and we must find ways to build responsibly for the future.
Vietnam is in a building boom. Many new buildings in Vietnam are built inappropriately for its climate. But Vietnamese people have always embraced circular economy. Increase in GDP threatens this tradition by encouraging us to discard materials and products and replace with new. This talk shows how we can embrace both new and old in the built environment for a better planet and for clear economic benefit.

Mr. Do Manh Dung is a Business Specialist in Mechanical & Electrical Contracting, Energy Efficiency & Maintenance Services, Sustainability Technology via Energy Management, Solar Energy, Chemical Solution, Waste Monitoring, Automation and Digital Integration for Buildings, F&B, Water & Waste Water and Oil & Gas.
He is now a Board Member of Vietnam Green Building Council (VGBC) since 2010; Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development – Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VBCSD/VCCI) since 2014, Industry 4.0 Advisor Working group, Circular Economy.

In 2019, over 92 billion tonnes of discarded materials made about half of global CO2 emissions.
Circular economy, which promotes the elimination of waste and the safe use of natural resources, offers an alternative up to $4.5 trillion in business opportunities to 2030. This is a strategic direction and business opportunities for governments, enterprises, and citizens.
Today, 8.6% of the world is circular, and Vietnam could be much less, still a long way to go! Many ongoing initiatives can be shared and learned quickly to speed up this transformation. We expect this sharing will enable new ideas for Vietnam!

Mr. Nguyen Cong Minh Bao is involved in the field of sustainable development in Vietnam for over 15 years. He has played an active role in connecting the private sector and the public sector to strengthen dialogue, contribution and implementation of sustainable development solutions.
While being now the Corporate Affairs and Communication Director of JTI Vietnam, he is one of the founding member of the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD), Vice chairman of EuroCham Green Growth Sector Committee (GGSC), Vice chairman of Vietnam Green Building Council (VGBC), and Vietnam Program Head of Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).
