On December 19, 2023, the Department of Science, Technology and Environment coordinated with the Academy of Construction and Urban Management Officers and the Vietnam Green Building Council VGBC to organize a “Workshop to introduce and disseminate documents”. Law on environmental protection related to the Construction industry in 2023″. The workshop was for students from central and local state management agencies and units, civil engineering management boards, and technical infrastructure management and operation companies; Corporations, enterprises, and production facilities in the Construction industry.
The VGBC was proud to join the Academy of Managers of Construction and Cities (AMC), a division of the Vietnam Ministry of Construction, annual training event for construction officials and partners summarizing work completed in 2023 and the implementation plan for 2024. This year, Ms. Phan Thu Hang, VGBC Chair of the Board, gave a special presentation on sustainable construction materials, highlighting international perspectives and approaches to Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) and Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) and how we can begin to use them more often in Vietnam. The VGBC will be increasing collaboration with AMC to help bring more green building content to officials throughout Vietnam in 2024.
The program harmoniously combines theory and exchange and discussion of practical problems facing each unit to effectively apply them to work. VGBC will accompany relevant ministries and branches to build the goal of sustainable development of green buildings in Vietnam.
